During the worst of the global downturn I read a number of reports in newspapers where pensioners were eating dog food for dinner. This sounds unbelievable. I mean can things really be this grim? I know living on a pension might be tough financially however there are many inexpensive meals that can be bought from the supermarket. I think these people are making these false claims to try and get an increase in their pension. Personally I think is rather self-scented as these people don’t care that the government is also struggling financially and all they can think about is their pension. Very poor form.
